IF (big IF) you are going to vote for a Police and Crime Commissioner today, please remember this: a party political candidate will, despite swearing oaths otherwise, be committed to their political party even in the face of truth. Sadly, this is not a quality one needs in someone holding responsibility for impartiality in (allegedly) ensuring that the police do their job. Pick someone who can stand up for TRUTH, cannot be bought, sold or bribed and demonstrates TRANSPARENCY and INDEPENDENCE. Are they secretive, tell lies or are prepared to cover stuff up? We already have loads of those types :/ Be wise.
